National Revolutionary Army Deployment Dataset
I am constructing a new dataset that systematically traces the deployment of China's National Revolutionary Army (NRA) based on digitized archival records. The NRA was the military of the Kuomintang-led government during China's Republican period (1912-1949). The data track the deployment and movement of army- and division-level units over time. The records cover the first phase of the Chinese Civil War (1927-1937), the Second Sino-Japanese War (1937-1945), and the second phase of the Chinese Civil War (1945-1949). The dataset offers a systematic account of Nationalist military deployments across more than two decades of interstate and internal conflict.
